We have all heard of the story of that frog. When put
in the pot of boiling water, reflexes take over, it feels the heat and jumps out right away. However, when put in a pot filled with water at room temperature, which is heated gradually to boiling point – the frog will stay in the pot. Initially it would keep adapting to the changing environment. By the time things get really hot, however, the frog is already drained from using up all its energy is adapting, and he has barely any left to jump out. And it, sadly, dies. You have heard this one before. Even I have. And I have shaken my head at the stupidity of poor frog. After all, it should have had the foresight to see bad situation – and should have fled, while he could have. Silly frog!
Probably got what it deserved.

On way to work one day, I was thinking about frog and boiling water in context of love and relationships and soul paths. Let’s assume that this pot of boiling water is my relationship with that calling in my soul that just doesn’t go away….
And I wondered – what if frog isn’t silly. Maybe frog is right. Maybe frog is enlightened. Yes, it may die in that pot of gradually heating water. So what! Maybe that pot of boiling water is its home! Maybe the frog is meant to stay in the pot. What can frog do – if that pot is home, and there is nowhere else to go? You can’t run from home, from what you are. Let the water boil away to glory! It will either kill the frog or the frog will learn to adapt – yet again – even in impossible environments. And if frog dies in the process – so be it… Frog lived those moments following what its soul was telling it – and that would be a good death. Frog will die knowing that it didn’t run, it stayed and bore the pains of its conviction. Or… the frog will learn to stand the heat, and go through the growing pains, and live the destiny – until the fire burns out.
Water must cool down then, and frog would have lived through it, loved its home through it, stood by its beliefs through it. And once the water cools down, frog will adapt back to the normal things in life. Even that change would be tough and transformative – but frog will do it. If that is what frog is meant to do, then frog will make it happen! Because, God and Destiny will be right there with the frog to see it through… they will guide the frog – if only frog can let go of the fear of being burnt, and stops struggling – frog will hear the guidance and will learn how to survive. After all, wasn’t it the same guidance that told the frog that the pot was home? They are the ones who gave frog this particular pot as a home, the one which was going to be on fire. They are the ones who will teach the frog all the skills needed to live through it. This is the basic rule of evolution… all the frog has to do is – BELIEVE. It has to believe in self, in what its heart is telling it to do, that it cannot jump the pot, every time, as soon as the going gets tough because he will just end up landing into another boiling pot and go through the same ordeal – again and again and again. It has to believe in the heart, have faith in God, and stick to his pot – is that is what its soul is telling it. Its special, very special, to find the pot that feels just right, so much like the place you belong to… just finding that pot, and knowing that this pot is meant for you – is enough to make one life very profoundly meaningful. If the purpose of its life to find this pot – then how can one jump out and leave it? You simply can not!
So, while it lasts, enjoy the sauna!
